How the Currency Conversion Works
The converter retrieves a reference-rate table with USD as its base currency. It converts the entered amount into the base and then into the selected target currency using the two rates. The page displays the provider's update timestamp when one is returned. The calculation is only as current as the external data successfully loaded by your browser.
Why your bank may show a different amount
Reference rates are not guaranteed transaction rates. Banks, card networks, remittance services, and exchange desks may apply their own spreads, commissions, cash rates, and settlement-time adjustments. The displayed amount does not include those charges.
