QR Code Generator

Create a QR code from text or a URL directly in your browser, then download the image.

QR codes are generated locally in your browser. The text or URL you enter is not sent to a QR-generation service by this tool.

How QR Code Generation Works

Enter a URL or text, choose the image size, and generate the code. The page uses a QR encoder bundled with CalcDaily to create the image from a matrix of black and white modules on an HTML canvas. The content is processed in the visitor’s browser and is not sent to a QR-generation API. The resulting PNG can be downloaded directly from the page.

Privacy and scanning safety

The generation process does not transmit the entered content to an external QR service. However, a QR code does not encrypt its contents: anyone who scans the image can read the encoded text or URL. Avoid publishing passwords, payment secrets, medical information, or other confidential data in a QR code. Check destination links before opening them, especially when a code is received from an unknown source.

Example and limitations

A QR code stores the entered text or URL in a scannable pattern; it does not encrypt the content. Anyone who scans the code can read the encoded information, so avoid secrets and verify destination links before opening them.
