Calendar age and total days
Years, months, and days describe calendar age. The total-day figure is calculated from the two calendar dates, so the time of day when you open the page does not add or remove a day. For official records, use the date conventions required by the relevant authority.
Worked example
For example, someone born on 4 November 2000 is 26 years old on 4 November 2026. On a date before the birthday, the calendar age remains one year lower until that birthday arrives.
